Description
Departing earlier than the standard Kintamani tour, this extended full-day adventure begins at the Tegalalang Rice Terraces, where you can swing over the terraced fields before exploring the surrounding paths.
Next, journey to Candi Gunung Kawi, an ancient royal burial complex where 10-meter shrines are carved directly into the cliffs above the Pakerisan River — a rare glimpse into 11th-century Balinese history.
Continue to Pura Gunung Kawi Sebatu, a peaceful water temple known for its koi-filled ponds and shaded stone courtyards, before heading up to Kintamani for lunch with panoramic views of Mount Batur and Lake Batur.
After lunch, stop at BAS Luwak Coffee for a guided tasting of Balinese coffee and tea, including the sought-after civet coffee.
The day concludes at Pura Tirta Empul, where you can take part in the traditional melukat purification ritual, bathing in the temple’s sacred spring water.
